Hi Jen Shelby, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My life fell apart during a difficult divorce when I turned 40 years old. COVID hit and I lost my job and experienced a scary panic attack. I found myself as a single mom, completely on my own trying to navigate how to support myself and my kids. Their dad moved away to another state and left us on our own to start over from nothing.
I discovered the world of network marketing. I took a chance on an opportunity that would eventually transform my life. I built my way from the ground up, and over time, I became a top leader in the industry, the number one recruiter in my company of over 40,000 people, leading the fastest growing and considered the “most connected” team in the thousands.
This journey has allowed me to work from anywhere without a boss, and achieve the kind of financial freedom that seemed impossible just a few years ago. Most importantly, it’s given me the chance to help other women break free from traditional work structures, build their own businesses, and find the confidence to pursue their personal goals.
Starting over in my 40s was daunting, but it led to incredible personal growth and development. Today, as one of the top leaders in the network marketing world, my passion is to help others realize their potential and succeed in their own journeys. It’s been a challenging road, but one that has brought immense rewards.
My son was diagnosed with brain cancer days after turning 13 years old, and we were in and out of the hospital for most of the last year and a half. If I didn’t have this flexibility to earn an incredible paycheck from my phone, I really don’t know what I would have done to take care of him and stay on top of all the medical bills.
The time and financial freedom I have achieved saved our little family.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s safe to say the road has been anything but smooth. When I started out in network marketing, I had no idea what I was doing. I had to learn an entirely new skill set from scratch. One of my earliest steps was reading *Building an Empire*. I remember having my AirPods in, walking on the treadmill, and listening to the first few chapters on Audible. That book was my first guide in this unfamiliar industry, and from there, I was off and running.
The biggest challenge was building this business from the ground up when I was at rock bottom. I was in a position where this simply had to work, my back was literally against the wall financially. There was no safety net, no backup plan. That pressure drove me to work tirelessly, day and night, making countless mistakes along the way but learning from each one.
The obstacles were plentiful, learning the ins and outs of the industry, figuring out how to connect with people, and overcoming my own self-doubt. But these challenges also taught me invaluable lessons and deepened my commitment to helping others succeed. The journey wasn’t easy, but every setback and challenge shaped me into the leader I am today.
We’ve been impressed with Healthy Home, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

As a hands-on leader, I draw on the leadership skills I honed at the United States Air Force Academy and during my service as a U.S. Officer, combined with my extensive experience in network marketing, to build a strong, motivated team. I am deeply passionate about this industry, about health and wellness, and about the incredible opportunity we have to be first to market with these revolutionary products.
Already, Healthy Home is making waves in seven countries, with plans to expand into Europe by year end. We offer extraordinary incentives, including two free trips a year—one of which will mark our official company launch next month on a cruise through Italy, Greece, and Turkey.

What makes you happy?
What truly makes me happy is living life on my own terms. I deeply cherish the freedom to design each day as I see fit, allowing me to focus on what truly matters. I love being a mom, I love being in a happy and healthy relationship, I love staying active, and I love helping others pursue their dreams.
Happiness, for me, is about surrounding myself with the right people. There was a time when I felt like I was just trying to stay afloat, burdened by obstacles, drama, and toxic situations—especially during my divorce and challenging times with family. I was yearning for peace.
Today, my greatest happiness comes from waking up each morning and knowing that I have created this life. I envisioned what I wanted, manifested it, and made it happen. There is a deep sense of fulfillment in looking around and seeing that every part of my life is exactly as I envisioned. My life is aligned, peaceful, and filled with the right energy.
