Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremiah Holloway.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jeremiah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I originally started with acting back in 2015. I joined a talent scout agency in order to pursue my dreams with acting. When I started the class, I arrived late in the semester, so they were working with behind the scenes and how to work a camera. From the point on, I fell in love with directing. I slowly started my career with shooting local artist’s music videos for exposure. Business began to pick up and I never looked back. Now I have an ongoing web series I cast, write, and direct for. You can check it out on YouTube. I’m looking to become one of the biggest directors to ever live in San Diego
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I encounter a lot of struggles as far as client communication, equipment purchasing and scheduling. At times things can get really stressful, but I just put my faith in God and hope for the best.
Please tell us about Papa Smurf Productions.
My company is a film production business. I specialize in writing, camera operating, and directing. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I can play multiple parts behind the scenes and not just pursue music videos. I am most proud of my accomplishments of my feature film web series “1,000 Ways To Hate”, being able to write a script and have it come to life is one of the best feelings in the world as a director.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t have luck at all. I believe in God, so if it’s his plan I’m pursuing it.
