Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Noriega.
Hi Jeremy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I started riding when I was 4. I grew up watching freestyle motocross, and it made a huge impact on how I ride today. In 2019 I started getting into FMX and riding ramps at my buddy Bo Dirt’s spot. I started learning new tricks and progressing quickly. With the help of local legend Sean Fogle, Daniel Hart, and Dylan Anderson, we built our own spot, Ripper Ranch, and started practicing every day. Not long after I rode in my first show at Harris Casino in Rincon. Since then, I’ve done several other shows and met a lot of cool people on the way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
FMX is a very challenging sport. You have to be dedicated and have a lot of patience. Crashing is a big part of the sport. It’s not IF you go down; it’s WHEN, and you can possibly break your bike or yourself. Learning new tricks is probably the most challenging; it doesn’t happen overnight. You have to stay motivated and keep pushing yourself even when you feel like you’re not progressing fast enough. Perfecting a new trick is the most satisfying feeling. After all, the frustration and pain has paid off. The challenge of the sport is what is so addicting.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an FMX rider known for riding metal freestyle ramps usually at a 75-foot distance. I’ve done shows for the Flying U pro rodeo, Monster Jam, & Fitz Army. What sets me apart from others is my love and passion for the sport. I’m most proud of being able to ride shows and share the love of the sport with fans and show the younger generation that they can do anything they put their mind to.
What do you think about luck?
I feel lucky enough to have gained the awesome group of friends I have from this industry. We all push each other to do more, and we learn from each other’s styles and techniques. There’s no greater feeling than having that support and having those people to push you.
