Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnnie Morris.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Johnnie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in a not so privileged neighborhood. I was also bullied by other kids at school when I was younger. My parents decided for me that the best option to protect myself was martial arts. I began my martial arts journey at the age of 10. It started as an outlet and then shortly became a way of life. I became an instructor at the age of 14.
This opened a new door for me and allowed me to experience the feeling of being able to help others learn while also improving myself as a teacher and a student. I realized I would love to share those experiences with as many people as I can. Martial arts training, I believe, has countless benefits for individuals, families and communities and I always had a passion to help those who want to achieve those benefits. For as long as I can remember, my dream had always been to open my own martial arts school. I opened up Aspire Martial Arts in May 2013 and the rest is history!

All business owners know how challenging it is to start your own business. A lot goes into making a business run smoothly especially behind the scenes such as marketing and financing. Myself and our staff commit to countless hours into making our academy our perfect vision for our families and to uphold our values to our community. But we can say it is well worth it!

Aspire Martial Arts is truly devoted to making a positive impact in the lives of children, teens and adults. We have been dedicated to serving the Rancho San Diego community since 2013. We are an officially licensed and accredited Hyper Pro Training academy.
We offer a variety of programs to fit the whole family’s needs including traditional taekwondo, reality self-defense, bully prevention, fitness, acrobatic and tricking. We always strive to give back to our communities by offering complimentary Bully Prevention events and presenting informational seminars to our local schools and organizations.

We love our city! We can’t think of a better place that has great weather, amazing food and awesome families! We are truly blessed to serve all our wonderful families here and always welcome those that are new to the area!
