Meet Jolin Putrus of Everlasting Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jolin Putrus

Hi jolin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Initially, I was a devoted music fan, frequently visiting various music venues. However, I often found that the clubs and events we attended lacked something – whether it was inadequate support, poor organization, or subpar music quality. Determined to address these issues, I decided to enter the music industry with the assistance of friends. I began recording artists and honing my ear for sound. From there, I transitioned into the role of a disc jockey, immersing myself in the scene. A few years later, I established Everlasting Entertainment to provide comprehensive support across all aspects of the industry.

I now offer a full suite of services, no job being too big or too small. We have collaborated on a wide range of events, including pay-per-view productions, ESPN broadcasts, school functions, weddings, and even intimate house parties.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Navigating the event planning process is rarely straightforward, as unexpected challenges arise on a regular basis – from ensuring adequate security to vendors arriving late. Consequently, it’s crucial to anticipate potential setbacks and have a contingency plan in place.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Everlasting Entertainment?

Create a budget: A budget is a critical first step in event planning and will help you make decisions about food, lodging, and the venue.
Set goals: Define the purpose of your event, such as generating leads, raising funds, or launching a new product.
Develop a marketing strategy: Consider your event’s goals and create a marketing plan to increase attendance and brand awareness.
Find a venue: A venue that’s already busy can be less stressful because there’s less pressure to fill the entire space.
Create a checklist: A detailed checklist can help you stay organized and on task.
Start early: Start planning early and get audience feedback before you begin.
Have a backup plan: Be prepared for anything that might go wrong.
Other things to consider include: Building a team, Developing a portfolio, Setting prices, Staying updated, and Effectively showcasing sponsors.
