Meet Jordan Harder of Harder Performance in Pacific Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Harder.

Jordan, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The week before graduating high school, I broke my wrist longboarding. Worried I wouldn’t be able to play college lacrosse in the fall. I was set to play college lacrosse in the fall. I put all my focus into learning about the recovery process to heal faster and come back stronger. Through this experience, I realized that I had a passion for understanding how the body worked.

When I started college at Pacific Lutheran University, I enrolled in a sports psychology class taught by Olympic Sports Psychologist- Dr. Colleen Hacker. I knew I wanted to find a way to combine my passion for the body with the mental skills needed to help people reach their goals. After graduating with a BS in Kinesiology and Sports Psychology, I spent time working in Physical Therapy, coaching high school lacrosse, training high school and professional athletes, and helping people reach their fitness and weight goals. My coaching style focuses on how we can look good, perform our best, and do the things we love for as long as we can.

In 2019, I decided to start my own business in San Diego after falling in love with the sun and vigor of the city. Since being in San Diego, I’ve been able to help others optimize and transform their lives through fitness and mindset, while having fun along the way.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There will always be struggles when you are pushing your current boundaries, whether it’s personal, business or fitness. Working alongside people who can help you set goals, create action plans and keep you accountable along the way makes the difference. Starting any business is challenging especially in a new city with few contacts and connections. Working with my own fitness and business coach has helped make the path smoother.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Harder Performance – what should we know?
I help people optimize and transform their life, not just through fitness, but with the mindset, skillset and strategies needed to reach their goals.
