Today we’d like to introduce you to Just In Case.
Just In Case formed in southern New Jersey in the early Spring of 2000. Founders Adam and Brian had been previously involved with projects together throughout their high school years, and both were influenced by very similar artists. Naturally, the duo gelled as musicians. The band began as a pop-punk trio, evolved into a four piece within the first year, and then back to a trio where it exists currently. Although the band has seen it’s share of line-up changes over the years, the core has always been Brian and Adam.
Has it been a smooth road?
When core members of a band are good friends and share a common musical identity, it covers a lot of the day to day grind. Our story is no different than other bands- member turnover, raising funds for merchandise and tour, promotion, it’s all challenging. However, we are still standing after 20 years! Shout out to our current bassist, Brian Gower of Plane without a pilot.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Since our relocation from NJ to San Diego in 2012, we have been in love with this city. The scene is fantastic and filled with talented and diverse projects. More venues would be great!
