Meet Kate Uhle and Zach Heinz of Mad Munch in Ocean Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Uhle and Zach Heinz.

Mad Munch began in an Illinois dorm room with a single electric griddle back in 2003. There was a high demand for something delicious to help aid the hungry students through those long nights at Lincoln College.

Ten years later, Zach fired up the griddle once again, revamped the menu, & made his cheesy debut in San Diego. With the help of his girlfriend, Kate, Mad Munch Grilled Cheezer Co. has since taken the taste buds of farmers market goers & tasting room patrons by storm.

Has it been a smooth road?
If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Mad Munch – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We take the American classic to the next level. Grilled cheese is so much more than just bread & cheese. From sweet to savory (or even sweet AND savory) we like to open customers eyes to see the versatility of the ultimate comfort food.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What’s not to love?! From the beaches to the weather, to the people. There’s a reason why they call it America’s finest city.
