Today we’d like to introduce you to Kerbi Binder.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My passion for art started when I was in elementary. My love for music was the first spark to my interest in all artistic expressions. Ideally, I was set on becoming a singer. Throughout the past few years, writing and painting have become a huge part of my life by helping me cope with the raging waters of adulthood. I feel It is my purpose to dive into my subconscious and put my art into physical form. I believe we all have some creative force we’re supposed to share with the world. We all just have to discover it first and believe in yourself above all!
Please tell us about your art.
I believe every piece of art I create comes from a divine source within. Most of my writings I consider to be an automatic process that freely flows as if it were coming from an outside force. My paintings come from that same place where I allow myself to flow freely. I’m inspired by others who use their work to spark the minds of the masses to think outside the box. We are all creators, we just have to find what our gift is! I hope to inspire others to find/do what makes them happy! If I helped one person along the way, then I’m satisfied.
We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
Being an artist can be extremely lonely at times due to not feeling understood. I think it’s important to reach out to those who inspire you. We all could use a little kindness and support in this crazy life. Without art, the world wouldn’t be what it is. We all have a purpose in life, and creating your visions are a part of fulfilling yours. Always following your intuition is the best advice I can give.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I have not had the opportunity to display at any exhibits yet due to working full time and being Mom. Hopefully the day will come soon! I have never been too great at self-promotion, however; Most of my work can be viewed on my Instagram @Kerbi_alana
