Meet Kesia Gomez of Carlsbad

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kesia Gomez

Hi Kesia , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began creating content after having my second daughter, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With a background in photography and product photography, I was looking for a way to earn income from home. I started doing UGC and sharing my work on Instagram. Even before then, people would always come to me for recommendations, and it felt natural to start sharing my favorite finds online. What started as a creative outlet turned into something bigger—brands began reaching out to collaborate. I’m so grateful for the incredible opportunities I’ve experienced and the community I’ve built, all while working with brands I admire.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the hardest things has been dealing with comparison—it’s easy to look at others and feel like you’re not doing enough or not moving fast enough. Another challenge is realizing that not everyone in your circle will support you the way you might expect. It can be tough when the people closest to you don’t always show up, but at the same time, I’ve found incredible support from strangers. Sometimes the people you least expect become your biggest cheerleaders, and that’s been a surprising blessing along the way

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve been a professional family photographer for over 15 years, capturing the essence of family moments. Right now, I’m in my “mommy era,” and my content has naturally shifted to revolve around motherhood and family life. I’m passionate about sharing my journey as a parent, with all the joys and challenges that come with it. Parenting is such a rewarding, yet fleeting phase, and I love connecting with other parents who can relate. What sets me apart is my ability to capture those authentic, everyday moments, while also creating content that resonates with families. I’m also fortunate to live in San Diego, where there’s always a new adventure to experience, and I enjoy sharing those moments with my audience as well.

What makes you happy?
What truly makes me happy is helping others and bringing a little bit of brightness into their day. Whether it’s offering advice, lending a hand, or even just a small act of kindness, knowing that I’ve positively impacted someone gives me a deep sense of fulfillment and joy. It’s the simple, everyday moments of connection that bring me the most happiness.
