Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin and Ron Greene.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Kevin and Ron. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
AAAA (Four A) Auto Storage has been a staple of San Diego’s downtown community since 1968. We started in the heart of downtown and have since moved to 94 and Home Ave. This has been our home since 1999. We have grown from a small double-digit makeshift garage to a multi-location warehouse with three-figure capacity.
Our path to success can be attributed to hard work and a keen understanding of our customer base. We serve Military members and car nuts alike! We are on the cusp of celebrating 50 years of business… with 3 generations of family ownership and operational expertise!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Business is synonymous with challenges. If starting and maintaining a small company were easy, you’d see a lot more people doing it. Family struggles within the business are always interesting too.
Finding appropriate facilities has always been paramount to our success (we want to make sure we store our customer’s cars in the best environment possible)… as well as managing costs in a regulatory environment that isn’t exactly business friendly.
We have been able to overcome these obstacles through a strong emphasis on customer service and delivering a service that our customers find valuable.
AAAA Auto Storage & Park – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are the largest and oldest car storage facility in Southern CA. We offer vehicle storage for almost any situation. However half of our patronage comes from military clientele. We also do a fair amount of specialty car storage (classic, collectibles, exotics).
Without visiting us, most people visualize a mechanic or tow yard. However, we strive to be a cut above in presentation and service. We run a very clean operation with personable staff. We like to think that we are a bank for cars!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
We have had several milestones just in the past few years! We broke our historical record for the total number of cars stored at one time!
