My journey began as a college student at St. John’s University in Queens, NY, where I immersed myself in creative expression by hosting a college radio show and exploring various media projects. It was during these formative years that I founded a media and events collective called Other People’s Harvest. This experience ignited my passion for storytelling and laid the groundwork for what would eventually become Produce Section Creative.
After college, I continued to pursue creative projects and realized that my true calling was helping brands and creatives bring their unique stories to life. With a bootstrapped approach, I built the agency from the ground up—tackling everything from branding and video production to product design and event production. Along the way, I faced challenges while adapting to rapid changes in the market, especially during the pandemic. That period led to a pivotal rebranding and a renewed focus on innovation, which helped me pivot our services and set the stage for future growth.
Today, Produce Section Creative stands as a testament to resilience, creativity, and a commitment to authentic storytelling. We continue to expand our service offerings, incorporating cutting-edge digital strategies and exploring exciting avenues like NFTs and licensing. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building Produce Section Creative has been a journey filled with passion, resilience, and plenty of challenges. In the early days, being a bootstrapped business meant I often had to work multiple jobs just to fund our projects, which stretched my time and energy thin. I was fully “locked in” to every project, and this intensity sometimes led to burnout and creative blocks. The pandemic further challenged us, forcing a hard pivot and a complete rebrand as we adapted to a rapidly changing market. These experiences taught me the importance of balance, strategic delegation, and adaptability, lessons that continue to shape our work culture and drive us toward innovative solutions.
