Meet Kiera Gaston of Crav’ngs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiera Gaston.

Hi Kiera, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
As a young child I’ve always had a passion for food whether it was observing my grandmother or mom in the kitchen, helping prepare meals, or the best part… eating it. My mom is a baker, and because I would get so much joy helping her prepare pastries as a child I decided to follow in her footsteps and become a chef myself. And so, following my passion I received a degree in Culinary Arts in Little Rock, Arkansas before moving here to San Diego in 2020. From there, I started my own meal prep and catering service to provide the people of San Diego with healthy and delicious meals options Sunday through Saturday…

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As I stated before I moved here in 2020 just before the pandemic started, So I found myself in an awkward position trying to find a job while also starting my own business. The pandemic in itself was a huge roadblock that caused my business to take a really slow start so gaining momentum was a challenge. Starting a business is never easy but as long as you keep faith and stay consistent it will all work out in the long run.

We’ve been impressed with Crav’ngsLLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is Crav’ngs LLC and I specialize in meal preps and catering services. What sets me apart is the fact that I myself am a women’s wellness competitor so I take health and nutrition very seriously. With that in mind, I make sure that all of my meals are delicious, but also made with the idea of a balanced diet in mind, which is something I am most proud of. I prepare and delivery meal preps every Sunday and also offer delivery services. Catering events can be done any day of the week, so long as there is a 3-week notice to the event date.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have to give partial credit to my success thus far to my loving partner and soon-to-be husband @MackmuscleFit. He’s always been there to help me in creating business plans, whether it’s dealing with logistics, accounting, marketing, etc. Although the biggest thing I have to give him credit for is the amount of support he continues to give. Anyone that starts a business knows that it isn’t always easy and that there are times where things aren’t looking good and get discouraged. Even still, he helps keep me motivated and confident that Crav’ngs is what the world needs!
