Beauty from Ashes Coaching was birthed seven years ago out of the pain from my personal journey of going through a devastating divorce. The name Beauty From Ashes Coaching is inspired by the bible scripture Isaiah 61:3 that gave me hope for a possibility of beautiful future, when I felt completely heartbroken, overwhelmed with fear and struggled to find my sense of self. After just relocating 3,000 miles to San Diego, California with my ex-husband to support his military career, I felt alone in an unfamiliar city without any family or friends.
Luckily, I was soon blessed to align with a great community of women at a local church. I took up yoga, meditation and later earned my Masters in Psychology. I was able to learn invaluable tools that helped me heal. This inspired me to want to help other women embrace their fears that can cause them to feel stuck and use them to create a new found happiness in their lives. Today, I am remarried to the love of life, Gerald and we have a beautiful toddler son, named Christian. I believe that at least once in our lifetime, we will meet someone or experience a circumstance that completely changes the trajectory of our life. We may not be able to control what happens to us, but we can choose how we let it affect the rest of our lives. I am so grateful for my journey because through the pain, I discovered my life’s purpose.
As a Certified Life and Wellness Coach, I am passionate about helping women who secretly feel inadequate, frustrated, and overwhelmed by the pressure of trying to live a “perfect” life. I help women reclaim their innate power, transform their minds, and become the happiest version of themselves. Using simple mind and body techniques, my clients break free from limitations, feelings of unhappiness and not being good enough. Through my Signature Program- Courageously You! The Secret to Getting Out of Your Head and Getting What ‘You” Really Want! women can confidently discover their true selves.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road. There are always challenges that come along to build your character and prepare you for the next stage of your life. Finding the courage to open up my heart again was one of the biggest challenges that I have ever had to face. When you decide to get into a relationship it can be exciting and a bit scary. There is always a possibility that you can get hurt but there is also a chance that you can find true love. Over the years, I have discovered that fear and love cannot occupy the same space, so I decided to face my fears and choose to love again. By opening up my heart, I was blessed with a man that loves me and we had our first born son, Christian.
The decision to pursue entrepreneurship while still working full-time, being a first time mom and a wife has been very challenging but so worth it. For many ambitious career- driven women, like me, it can be a struggle to find a work- life balance. I would feel guilty when I missed out on one of my son’s precious first milestones. I found myself extremely exhausted trying to be everything to everyone at work, the “perfect” wife for my husband and the “perfect” mom for my son. However, after experiencing a period of burnout and weight changes, I realized that I cannot be superwoman all the time. I decided to start setting clear boundaries, saying no and asking for help when I needed. It also included me being intentional about scheduling some self-care and taking some time for just me.

What sets me apart from others is what I stand for and my approach to empowering other women. I provide a hybrid approach to my Life and Wellness coaching business with weekly pre-recorded videos that can be viewed at one’s own pace, worksheets, a specific curriculum and personalized 1-1 coaching sessions. I am most proud that I am able to stay true to myself, my values and do what I am passionate about while inspiring other women to do the same. I am a woman of faith, a wife, a mother, a sister and an entrepreneur with a huge heart. However, I also have a no nonsense approach when it comes to challenging my clients to meet their maximum potential.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel like San Diego is a great place for my Life and Wellness Coaching business. There are so many women out there like myself that have gone through similar situations that caused them to feel like they cannot possibly get through and I want to be there to let them know they absolutely can. I would definitely recommend starting a business here because there are so many wonderful people of all different backgrounds, cultures and interests, who can be perspective clients that we can serve.
