Meet Kisa Puckett of Pink Icing & KP Media TV in Temecula

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kisa Puckett.

Kisa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Since the age of 18, I was business-minded – opening and operating several businesses in the restaurant, beauty, and transportation industries within the first years of my adult life.

After selling my restaurant and being in business for over eight years in the transportation industry, I closed my company following the 2008 market crash and then worked eight years as a W2 employee in a super restrictive, political environment. I ultimately realized that I wanted more in my life and the opportunity to impact many with my message and purpose, without the limitations that came with the positions I held. I also wanted to take the years of experience I had in marketing and scaling businesses to support other business owners looking to become highly successful and next-level profitable.

I decided to walk away from a six-figure 9 to 5 career and pursue entrepreneurship full-time, going back to my roots as a business owner and creator. My love for marketing, branding, and entrepreneurship took off and has continued to thrive each day.

In 2018, with the support of my loving husband, I launched Pink Icing, a marketing and branding agency. I began helping entrepreneurs and business owners create stand-out brands and scale their businesses to the next level of profitability through creative branding, design, and strategic marketing strategy. As business grew over the last two years and exploded during the pandemic, I decided to elevate and expand into the media space by offering business owners and entrepreneurs yet another avenue to reach their goals and create high visibility brands. Thus, KP Media TV was born, a premier online + Streaming TV network that serves as the platform for diverse, unique, and talented content creators who produce and curate entertaining, inspiring, and thought-provoking live streaming and on-demand video content through family programming, digital talk shows, web series, docuseries, documentaries, and film.

My story however comes with various challenges that I have faced to get where I am today. One of the most significant is the recent loss of my husband of over 23 years. He was not only my husband, but the father of my children, best friend, business partner, and a dedicated and loving life partner. Although this was a tremendous loss for me and my children, I am encouraged by his spirit and the man that he was as I carry out the work that we both were so passionate about while continuing to build on the legacy that started with him being by my side.

Today, I have a fully-staffed marketing and branding agency and a rapidly growing Streaming TV network that distributes content and TV shows across major media platforms Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and Android TV.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been a smooth road. There were times when I would work around the clock to launch and grow my businesses while balancing being a wife, mother, and full-time student. My journey was not free from the period of having to wear multiple hats in business to stay in business, or having some ideas along the way fail. There was also the personal struggles that came along with the journey, especially when experiencing losing my husband during a major launch of my Streaming TV network and having to find the pieces and mental and emotional strength to keep going.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Pink Icing & KP Media TV story. Tell us more about the business.
I am the Creative Director of Pink Icing, a marketing and branding agency; and Founder of KP Media TV, a premier online + Streaming TV network that broadcasts TV shows, docuseries, and films produced by content creators and business owners across Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV.

Our journey with KP Media TV and the rise of its success has been a tremendous blessing. We have been able to provide a scalable platform and solution for network hosts and content creators to secure major brand deals with some of the most recognized brands, including Walmart, Target, Poise and many others – all from leveraging the power of the network. We were recently selected by Hulu to be a private beta advertiser on the network, bringing forth an opportunity of astronomical reach and visibility in the Streaming TV space.

Currently, on the network we are broadcasting shows in various categories from business and leadership to food, lifestyle, beauty and fun. Several of these shows include Kitchen Counseling, Spiritually Speaking, We Own the Table, Transformation Inside Out, Beauty Behind the Brand Live, and many others. Our network has also secured A-list creators and producers that will be bringing celebrity guests and powerhouse leaders to their concepts, creating an immeasurable opportunity for high-level visibility and impact.

We are known for bringing high visibility to brands and curating creative solutions for entrepreneurs to accelerate their business growth and expansion across various platforms.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I do not necessarily believe in luck, but do believe that positioning, creativity, and the ability to make decisions when it matters most is vital to gaining the momentum that we have been able to experience. These three attributes being in sync with my deep commitment to allowing God to guide my footsteps and journey has allowed us to have amazing success and tremendous growth.
