Thanks for sharing your story with us Kyle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
San Diego Computer Help started with a dream. A dream of a world without condescending computer guys who don’t know how to follow through. A world where a computer technician shows up when he says he will, does what he says he would do, and listens to what the customer is saying.
San Diego Computer Help was founded by Kyle Hanson. Before Kyle was an IT guy, he was not an IT guy. He sat on your side of the fence and saw all the rude, condescending and awkward IT guys making people feel bad and displaying an atrocious lack of professionalism and understanding.
One day, he said to himself, “Self– something has got to change! Somebody has to do something about this… nobody should be subjected to this abuse!” So he set out, already being a little “techie”, and learned the ways of the computer technician, how to speak their language and absorbed their customs… then spent countless hours learning how to translate this new knowledge for the average person. Today, Kyle has spent 10 years sharing the beauty of computers and IT with others, helping them with their IT woes and doing what he can to make the world a better place… technically, that is. 🙂
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since our inception, we’ve had a few challenges along the way. Nothing major, but there are always speedbumps… it’s taken a while to find the best, friendliest computer helpers San Diego can offer… but we’ve done it!
We just opened a 2nd location in San Marcos, and as always, a new location presents challenges. We’re growing steadily there though, and we expect that by summer, we’ll be at full capacity there as well!
