So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started Bubba’s Adventures after relocating to San Diego last summer. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to break out of my comfort zone and pursue my passion: pets and adventures! I love spending time outside and there is no better companion than the canine kind. Bubba’s Adventures was born from the memories of my best friend Vito (aka Bubba). I learned the joys of living in the moment and appreciating the small pleasures of life every day. My biggest regret from having a dog was leaving him at home while I went to the office all day working for someone else. So, I was inspired to help other people by taking care of their pets while they are pursuing their dreams! I now provide dog walking and pet sitting services to the Downtown community in hopes that owners and pets both can have a little more joy in their lives.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’m still in the very early stages of being in business but the biggest struggle so far is giving myself approval. It is easy to take for granted the paychecks and promotions that comes from an outside employer. As an entrepreneur, that validation and sense of worth has to come from clients and from within. Also, marketing and promoting a business has been a challenge since networking is not my strongest skill (hence wanting to work with animals who are less likely to judge me).
Overall, it has been a great learning experience with everything from the technical aspects of business to the fun side of designing logos and swag,

We provide dog walking and pet sitting services for a variety of pets. As avid outdoor adventurers, we bring energy and fun to making sure your pets are tired and happy. We are based in downtown San Diego and focus on local adventures around Downtown, the San Diego Bay, and various dog parks in the area. Our services can be tailored to fit each individual’s needs and provide the right care for pets.
Our services range from quick drop-in visits to longer overnight stays. Whether you need someone to stop by for 15 minutes or take your dog out for an hour, we can customize our visits to what you need.
It is our mission to be professional, positive, and have a meaningful impact on the community we serve.

Right now, I’m focused on growing my client base! In the future, I hope to continue building strong relationships with the clients and pets that I service so I can expand the services I offer.
