Today we’d like to introduce you to Leili Farhangi.
Leili, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My journey started with working retail jobs and really getting the experience in customer service, I worked for Bebe and BCBG and had a strong passion for helping ladies find their perfect outfit and feel good about themselves. I also received many awards for my customer service skills. Secret shoppers had awarded me and I also maintained the highest sales. This is was all due to my love and passion to help others. My next chapter was working for.
Wellness center where I learned so much about health and wellness including Ayurveda, yoga and ancient eastern philosophies. Again, my service skills were put to the test by helping guests find their perfect product to balance and heal them. I learned so much in this industry which led me to signing up for esthetician school. After completing my program I really struggled finding work. Because I had no experience, no place I interviewed would hire me, I even offered to work for free!
I would take different educational classes here and there to stay up to date and then through one of my courses, I found out about a master certification at Bellus Academy for aesthetics. This was a program to extend the knowledge of an esthetician and get them ready to work with a dermatologist or a medical spa. I signed up for the program and was hired right out of school to work for destinations medical spa. The medical spa I worked for was a mobile Company that offered different services in various spas and salons all over San Diego, north and east county and some parts of Orange County.
I met so many amazing people which led me to other jobs where I learned the art of Brazilian waxing and what products were the best. During this time, I also worked under a dermatologist for about a year and later taught esthetics at Bellus Academy. It was amazing how much work was flowing to me! Eventually, opportunities led me to renting a space in Del Mar and in Carlsbad.
I now share a space in The village, in Carlsbad where I perform medical grade facials, I peel and specialize in waxing, I absolutely love what I do, and I know my path that led me here has helped to mold me into a well-rounded esthetician.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would have to say it was rough my first time out of esthetician school since I couldn’t get hired anywhere!
Please tell us about Leiliflower Skin Care.
I am a master esthetician that specializes in Brazilian wax and medical grade facials. I’m most proud that I have built this all on my own and put a lot of love and passion into it. I make sure to connect with each one of my clients to ensure they are happy and comfortable. I think what sets me apart is how many services I can provide with expertise.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I would say my favorite childhood memory is water skiing in lake arrowhead!
