Today we’d like to introduce you to Linnet Williams.
Linnet, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a Spiritual Intuitive, Priestess, Psychic Medium, Healing Touch Practitioner, Oracle, and Master Healer. Coming from a long line of oracles and healers, I have been aware of my gift since the age of four. By the time I was nine, I was reading fire, tarot cards, and Spirit Boards for my friends. I have studied different denominations of spirituality throughout my life.
I started Old School Bruja in 2016 after leaving a 13-year career in social work. My practice at the time was done in hiding. I was taught by my elders to hide our gifts and our practices for fear of retaliation or discrimination from non-believers. I was seeing clients after work and on the weekends until my client base grew and I needed to take off from my day job to serve my clients. I knew then I had to make a move soon. Spirit had come to me and made it clear I have to shift and be dedicated to my practice 100%. Six months later I leaped faith and left my career for my spiritual practice. I never looked back.
The first year, was a year of adjustment and pure faith. I was never without, my bills were paid but I was nowhere near where I wanted to be. Spiritually I was fulfilled and my business was growing. I kept my faith. Within 18months I was reaching people across the globe. I was providing spiritual counsel, energy medicine, and past life regression therapy for people from all over the world. I had no clue how my dedication to my practice would grow, I certainly never thought it would be this big. So, I further dedicated myself to spirit. I am always studying and I am always in either meditation or prayer. My connection with my spiritual team is my priority. I take my self-care and self-love seriously so that I can be clear and strong for my clients.
In 2018 I started Old School Bruja Radio. The show highlights different spiritual practices, is filled with advice, knowledge and good laughs. Old School Bruja Radio was recently nominated for 2019’s Most inspirational online radio and 2019’s best female host and personality. The show is another platform to reach the masses. In 2019 I launched the Merlin& Blaise Tea Co. which provides healing tea blends that relieve chronic ailments, promote weight loss, improve brain function, and pain relief. This was a love project turned national within 24hours of its launch.
This year, 2020, I am launching the Diaspora Death Doulas. THE DIASPORA DEATH DOULAS is a non-profit organization that works to serve the dying community and their families during their last months in life. We preserve ancestral traditions while providing loving palliative care to the dying. The Diaspora Death Doulas is a collective of people of color who work to foster a supportive environment that is designed to make the final right of passage a beautiful experience for all involved.
We strive to maintain the integrity of our heritage and ancestral practices while educating the public on our history and philosophy of death and dying. People are healing and taking ownership of their healing. We have to be empowered enough to harbor the self-agency to embody the power we desire and some of us only dream of. I believe we all have the power to heal ourselves and we all have magic inside of us.
Over the years my expertise is in energy medicine, divination, spells, mediumship, meditation, past life regression therapy and teaching large and small groups about spirituality has grown significantly. I travel the world providing workshops and various spiritual services that transform lives. My practice is infused with healing practices passed down through generations along with unconventional healing techniques. I am the founder of Old School Bruja, Diaspora Death Doulas, Old School Bruja Radio, Merlin & Blaise Tea Co., and author of two books to be published in 2020 & 2021.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some of my struggles were finances, my health and making the choice to leave people behind. I knew my finances would be ok, no matter how scary it became. But I had to cut off family and what I thought was friends because they didn’t believe in me or my vision. They were not comfortable with my new found freedom and creating the life I want. So I had to make a choice and send them on their way. My spiritual practice comes first. My life my choice.
My fight with Lupus SLE and Fibromyalgia brought me even closer to my practice. I used my wisdom of herbal healing and my magick to bring myself back from a life of pain and sickness. Today. I am healthy, vibrant, and Lupus SLE and Fibromyalgia is no longer an issue for me. I don’t even take any medication! I always say your magick will sustain you. Tap into it, it is there to heal you.

OLD SCHOOL BRUJA is your place to receive spiritual guidance, that will enhance your spiritual growth & healing. Old School Bruja is dedicated to educating and empowering you to embrace your power. We provide, spiritual consults, psychic services, past life regression therapy, energy medicine, paranormal investigations, entity clearings, house blessings, courses, and mentorship.
I am proud of the effect we are having on people. Since the launch of Old School Bruja, we have served over 3,000 people in person. Online classes and radio have reached an average of 350k people since 2018.
What sets my work apart is that this is my entire life, and I am not “on-trend”. I am focused on the deepest level of healing to foster permanent transformation. I want to know why you are hurting and we will find the root cause, whether it is from your childhood and/or a past life, I will find it and you will be armed with the tools to heal yourself. I do not “fix” anyone, I teach you how to do that yourself.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
This year is our 3rd Witches High Tea 2020. The Witches High Tea is an afternoon of Witches, Warlocks, and all practitioners coming together to learn about different practices, meet other practitioners, drink lots of tea, eat goodies, and celebrate entrepreneurship. We have outgrown our previous locations so this year The Lord Baltimore Hotel is hosting us!
Last year I had the pleasure of presenting my work at the Festival de Caribe in Santiago de Cuba. I promised my students I would take them in 2020, so we are going to Havana, Cuba in July 2020!
Merlin & Blaise Tea Co. & Apothecary will be opening its first storefront location in Baltimore, MD. The storefront will provide custom blended herbs, original M&B tea blends, custom conjure candles, classes, and of course some magic!
