Marco, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My life goal has always been to make a difference in the lives of as many people as I can, I spent 30 + years serving Californians at the Franchise Tax Board, 29+ years coaching football at the community college, high school and youth levels. Now here in San Diego, as a Real Estate Agent, I am working with many folks in Northern California and here in San Diego County
My Business Partner and I began discussing ways to assist Homeowners with renovation costs in order to obtain their highest value when getting ready to sell their homes. We brainstormed ways to bring Contractors, Homeowners and Real Estate Agents together to make the experience of home renovations and home sell and purchases a more positive experience and help all work together. We decided to start up a business that brings all parties together to provide professionals and homeowners an opportunity to work together to create the highest value of home improvements and sales for homeowners. That is what Bid Buddy is all about. BidBuddy.com breaks it all down.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The start-up was exciting and we got it off the ground 1/1/2020. We started marketing services to contractors and homeowners and Affiliated Agents. Things have been moving forward but now we feel with the COVID 19 challenges our services are needed more than ever. Sharing our services to as many people and making a difference is our goal.
Please tell us about Bid Buddy.
Bid Buddy is a start-up that brings Contractor Professionals, Homeowners and Real Estate agents together to provide the most value for home renovations and to sell or buying homes. Bid Buddy is known for building relationships where Bid Buddy provides renovation credits to homeowners on behalf of contractors to perform needed renovations to bring the most value to their homes prior to selling or buying with a Bid Buddy affiliated real estate agent. We also provide opportunities for homeowners to utilize their equity to leverage home improvements before they sell.
We are very proud of the services we are providing to bring the most value to homeowners and providing opportunities for contractors to win more bids. What sets us apart is that we help bring all the professionals together to reach a common goal, which is helping others.
What were you like growing up?
I was always one to help others and I would consider myself a leader type who always took on challenges and was not afraid of adversity. I played sports, coached sports and tried to make a difference with all who I came in contact with. In college, I was the president of my fraternity, In my professional career, I retired as the Director Of Financial Management for the Franchise Tax Board and now I am working with clients with home sales and purchases and providing my financial experience with as much guidance with making critical decisions.
