Margarita, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Margaux Berje has begun with a trip to Tulum, Mexico. While enjoying sunny beaches and yummy food, I realized I was falling in love with local artisans and the macrame pieces they were creating. After coming back home from the vacation, I was full of inspiration to try creating a piece by myself. I was always crafty and before long I was making my first serious macrame piece for a friend. I still remember how excited she was to receive her creation! Soon after that, my mom expressed her interest in learning macrame and not too long after that, we’d established a business. Today we specialize in handmade macrame wall art, plant hangers, wedding decor and much more.
Has it been a smooth road?
We are still a fairly new business and trying to find our specialty and niche. We love creating our art, and now looking for new places to sell it at.

At Margaux Berje, we specialize in creating unique macrame pieces that look both bohemian and modern. We use 100% natural cotton, metals, crystals, and wood to create an organic and earthy look for any home. We offer custom orders and we are always very excited to create something special and unique. We also specialize in weddings, and offer macrame wedding arch rental with free installation and take down anywhere within the San Diego area.
