Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Crichton.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Michelle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As an intuitive, growing up in free-spirited Encinitas and having access to things like meditation, sound baths and yoga it helped me acknowledge and explore the gifts I was given very early on. That and having incredibly open and supportive parents.
Although I was “born this way”, I didn’t start receiving formal education in the Healing Arts until 2010 when I began Mediumship training. Reiki training, Vinyasa teacher training, Light Language Activation and motherhood followed shortly after.
In 2017, with encouragement from my family and friends, I decided to open my own Healing Arts practice. I loved it and it was so fulfilling but something kept tugging at me. As Healers and Energy Workers, we often rent rooms tucked quietly away in therapy offices and it can get lonely.
I finally realized that as much as I loved my practice, I was really longing for that sense of community,
My dream was to walk into a place where I would see friends, coworkers, healers and members of the community gathered together in a nurturing and safe environment.
And thus, Light and Space Collective was born!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I know this sounds funny, but if we are lucky, nothing in life is a smooth road. The ups and downs are what gives us character and often, people find their greatest joy because they have experienced their greatest adversity,
Personally, if not for my own wounding and subsequent healing, I would not be doing this work.
In finding the right location for Light and Space Collective, I definitely hit a few roadblocks. I had my heart dead set on a location and when it fell through, I was crushed! I realized that I had to take a step back, ask myself what the reason was, where the lesson was and what blocks I was putting up that weren’t allowing this dream to come to fruition.
Once I “got off my own way” the perfect place appeared and from there it moved very quickly.
I rented this gorgeous space with 4 treatment rooms and a large front area for meditations and classes without a single Healer or Energy Worker to fill them. Then, suddenly they came. these incredible people who shared the same vision of community
