Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly McGee.
Molly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Nevada City, a small charming town surrounded by tall pines and beautiful rocky rivers in the corner of Northern California. This historic mining town is made up of homemakers, spiritual leaders, cultivators, and creatives who are down to earth, carefree & relaxed individuals. I grew up running and dancing around outside with my six older, close in age siblings. You could oftentimes find us with our hands in the dirt or our bodies splashing in the lakes and rivers. We were the best of friends and life felt magical and golden. My hometown, combined with my family influence, is who I am at heart. When I was in high school, I began to notice that my maturity that came from engaging with my siblings all my life has become a block in connecting with many of the other kids.
After graduation, I dug into my creative passions, spending most hours of the days beading long dangly native earrings, gardening with my mother in our large outdoor space, painting stokes of rich earthy colors onto the canvas, or making my products such as deodorant and toothpaste. A year went by and I found myself craving bigger opportunities that I knew only cities or larger communities could offer. My older brother felt the same, so we moved to San Diego together in August of 2018. Adjusting to San Diego went smoother than I had imagined it would take, I began to grow rapidly, being influenced by the overwhelm of human connection and feel-good community. In the last two years, I have created more for myself than I ever thought possible and I know it is just the beginning. I am now a certified holistic health coach with full-time clients, my site being WholeHeartedlyHealth.org, I still create & sell beaded earrings with my online Etsy business, Outward Aesthetic, I work part-time at a high-vibe relaxed restaurant in Pacific Beach, Second Nature, and I have dove recently into another business as a Kangen water distributor. I am at a very peacefully creative season in my life.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been all so smooth and easy. I have always had some anxiety around adjusting to new environments and people, and although the transition to the San Diego city has not been too much of a challenge, I did feel a little lost within myself for some time. I struggled to seek out like-minded individuals whom I could actively enjoy having in my life all-awhile growing forward with.
Wholeheartedly – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My holistic wellness business has been made possible by becoming certified as a coach via IIN, the Institute of Integrated Nutrition. I work with my clients one-on-one in whatever area of their life they feel they could use some enhancement in. I am very knowledgeable in nutrition, movement, relationships to others/self, and mental psychology. I am very proud of being able to integrate all aspects of health and help others find a balance of energy within. I wholeheartedly guide others to get to know their true authentic self apart of what life has added onto them & made them feel swallowed up and small. I can visualize their situation and see the outermost perspective to be able to reevaluate their position and how to best approach their situation and make a change.
In my Kangen water machine business, I specialize in having the knowledge behind the health benefits of the water and the incredible 60+ uses it has throughout one’s home, replacing numerous oftentimes toxic products. In this business, I am very proud of being able to visualize the type of people that would best suit this marketing job and manifesting them into action.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of my clients in my Health Coaching business has lost 20 pounds in the last three months using my techniques and mindset shifts to better fuel and treat his body after much self-hatred and guilt after an ended marriage.
