Hi Monica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been a creative person, but I wasn’t sure what career path to take. I started watching nail videos on YouTube and became fascinated by the art and technique. The more I watched, the more I realized that doing nails sounded like an interesting path I could take and I ended up being really good at it. That passion led me to dive into the nail industry, turning what started as curiosity into a career
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I struggled mostly with the law changes that have made it so that nail techs can’t be 1099s anymore and have to be employees. It has made it impossible to make the same amount of money working in a nail salon. Which is sad because I did love the community of it, but luckily I was able to maintain myself in a salon suite

I’m known for my hand painted and 3d nail art. I love creating funky and girly designs. I also do toothgems which are super fun
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memories were when I would go to SeaWorld because I had a huge fascination with mermaids and sea creatures
