Meet Moochie Smith of Riverside ca

Today we’d like to introduce you to Moochie Smith.

Hi Moochie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My career began with a lot of sacrifice with a seemingly neverending series of perseverance. It didn’t take long for all that hard work to pay off, I found myself featured in a variety of campaigns, Wedding Ceremonies, shows, and magazine photoshoots. A professional Artist career isn’t an easy one. It’s a full-time commitment requiring personal sacrifice and a dedication to preparation. I began to form an incredible work ethic at a young age, spending time outside school and on the weekends practicing in pursuit of the ultimate goal: to be counted amongst the top within my community. I am and will always be a proud indigenous woman who was raised from incredibly aspiring immigrants. My struggles have stopped and paused my growth but came to realize my path was comparable and competitive to no one but myself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
After hurting myself in softball umpteen years ago? I have gone through several surgeries and as of recently an appendectomy during the holidays. Through conversations and love within the people I surround myself with they have allowed a safe space to heal. I was also homeless as a teenager, being part of the LGBTQ community isnt easy under religious family values. But you wake up and tell yourself its not a bad life its just a bad day . Everything does work out as cliche as that sounds. It really does

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am what you would call a jack of all trades. I bartend, I cook, I bake, I sing, heck I’m also a traveling minister. I even went to school be a physical therapist. Which due to covid helped me quit which was a blessing in disguise. I had so much stress and again everything works out, I decided to open an entertainment business. Where I can do all of those things under a belt of one license. I love doing weddings because for one small instance I help create a perfect ceremony for LOVE for a day my couples will always remember. Everything is high in energy and clean vibes.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My mentors in life . My choir teacher in high school Kenneth Tuttle, my first music gig with Yvonne Erman, my best friend who stuck and invested Marcia Oaken, and myself, when I would give up I kept going, that no matter what depression tells you, you have to show up for you. It is okay not to be okay, but rememeber that ok will feel more then ok someday
