Today we’d like to introduce you to Nic Fierro.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
After doing the same thing for so many years, I found I was taking my job for granted. I needed a change and wanted to create something that worked with my lifestyle and my family. I always appreciated having a job but didn’t love working 50 plus hours a week and not loving what I was doing.
I have always had a knack for Photography, and I’m very interested in what’s happening in the Real Estate Market, so I started my own Real Estate Photography business. My goal is to make lasting relationships with the people I work with and help them do what they do best.
Please tell us about your art.
I support real estate agents and homeowners with photos of their listings or vacation rentals. When I purchased my first home, I found myself confused. Where does that hallway lead to? Where is that bedroom located? I noticed a lot of listing included a virtual tour, which were just images on a slideshow, I wanted to understand the flow of the house. In addition to photos, I offer a video walkthrough of the listing to help the client understand the floor plan and flow of the house.
With 20 years of restaurant experience, I also provide photos for Restaurant owners to add to websites or social media. I also offer homeowners the opportunity to document their remodel. I see homeowners making amazing flips. I think it’s something they should be proud of and document.
My favorite things to shoot are amazing homes, beautiful sunsets, and unique restaurants.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I think success is defined by accomplishing the goals that you set out to make. I think we all have dreams and ideas that come and go. For me, there were many years that I was confused and couldn’t decide on what I wanted to do. At some point, you have to make the decision and follow through.
