Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Havies.
Nicholas, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve been making music since I was around 13 I was introduced, I Initially started rapping then due to the lack of resources at the time, always being on punishment and being stuck in the house lol, instead of picking up the ps2 controller I picked up what was FL Studio 6 at the time, and worked on that like a video game for years just for fun, rapping and experimenting with sounds and horrible beats lol until it got to a point to when at 22 I sold my first beat and never looked back. From the beginning my mission wasn’t just to sell beats it became to create a sound exclusive to San Diego, I look up to guys like Teddy Riley, Pharrell, Dj Quik and they all have sounds distinct to them so its only natural, and with the help of local artists like Hardini, Von Dreaam, Jazzae, S3fromSd, Lil Weirdo, etc. we are on the way to it very soon!
Has it been a smooth road?
Just like everybody we go through trial and tribulations to learn lessons, so with that being said I was at the wrong place at the wrong time and was incarcerated for a little under a year but that that time really help me mentally and spiritually, it was at that time when I decided to focus on music and was actually given the name NickNoxx while I was in there because I was always making beats on the bunks during freestyle sessions.

NickNoxx I am a music producer known for my beats and my dedication to hip hop culture through every form of creation. I also am mixing engineer.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like most about this city is the diversity and the economic opportunities once you figure it out, and obviously the weather lol. There’s honestly nothing I dislike about it. Obviously, there are issues but I mean that can be anywhere you go.
