Today we’d like to introduce you to Nieves Córdoba Arlettaz.
Nieves, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve used Young Living for over three years. I started using these when my five years old daughter couldn’t sleep at night. I got interested in these oils because I started to realize that just what I had been using (supermarket brands) were not working. I was introduced to this world by a dear sisters-in-law Luciana Marriott who cared about me and my family and is my partner in Oil la la. I gave these oils a shot and started to learn, as I went along this new journey.
Why Young Living?
Most importantly, they own their farms. I grew up watching my grandparents farm every summer In Argentina where I’m from. What goes into the soil is everything, because plants absorb more than we think. I believe in having the pure and concentrated product in my hands and then I decide what I dilute it with – It’s about taking control of these choices for ourselves. Pure plants have incredible properties and they have the power to replace many fake things we have used for years and it will fascinate you.
How to incorporate these oils into my life, to live a cleaner lifestyle, without harmful ingredients, that I would put on us, without a second thought.
Now it might not be something you just switch and ditch overnight, but it is something that we can all do little by little, product by product- slowly turning your cleaning routine, your self-care, your kids products, your pets care, your cooking, and wellness care into only clean and from a source that you feel comfortable with.
After years of using these on myself, my family, and people I care about, I started to gain know-how and naturally, I felt I needed to share and educate anybody who wanted to live a cleaner lifestyle. I was only able to do this because I had direct proof that these were making a direct impact on our life. This is why I feel confident in sharing with you now.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur/ independent distributor is a challenge, like to run any other business. I noticed that a lot of my obstacles in business were related to my blockages and fears. I learned how to face and overcome them with the help of the oily community that is not just from my team, my cross lines and outlines! This is a great community, super generous and fun! I enjoy what I’m doing! Make me feel that I’m doing something important!
Please tell us about your business.
Young living essential oils is the only one that has their own open to everybody farms, it has 25 years doing the best oils quality. It is very honest, and I visited a farm in Utah and I spoke with the workers and also checked personally all the process from the seed to the seal! That makes me feel more confident to recommend them.
I love to teach how to switch and ditch with plant based products, every oil that you incorporate in your lifestyle is a harmful chemical that you take out of your home. Also, I teach to live a wellness life, using plants for everything. Because I believe in the power of the plants. Also, I believe in the power of women working together I love to empower them to share their love for the oils!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Sharing my love for the oils make me feel so good, especially when people tell me that they feel better after using them! Is the most amazing feeling.
