Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikaya Kipp.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nikaya. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I began my journey in the holistic health field when I was on a 6-month backpacking adventure in remote areas of Central America. It seemed that everywhere I traveled, I met healers, bush doctors, and even village people who had tremendous knowledge about medicinal herbs from the rainforest and how to apply them for healing. One day near the end of my trip, I had a realization that I could combine my passion for natural living and holistic health, and my desire to help people, with a career in the healing arts. Thus began my 20 plus year journey of studying and practicing holistic health.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road. After the birth of my son, I was catapulted further along my path when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. That diagnosis was such a shock and it rocked me to my core. I had always thought of myself as very healthy, so I realized it was time to delve even deeper to discover the root of this dis-ease and to heal myself in new ways. I reemerged through that process feeling more whole, more vibrant, more connected and full of self-love. I now look back to that challenging time and am grateful for the experience that brought me to where I am today, with the awareness that I can help even more people after walking that path to recovery.
Nikaya Kipp Vibrant Health – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and a Massage Therapist. I have been guiding people to vibrant health for almost 20 years. I specialize in helping people who have digestive and/or autoimmune issues. I work individually with people to help them uncover food sensitivities, find inflammatory triggers, reduce stress and inflammation, return to wholeness, and create a new lifestyle that supports their health and well-being. As a Massage Therapist, I specialize in helping people with chronic or acute pain, imbalances, and back and neck problems.
I am known for my long, thorough sessions that can be deeply relaxing and transformative. Many of my clients through the years have been able to avoid surgery with the help of the work we do together. My clients also know me for my compassion and caring heart, my commitment to their health, and my ability to restore hope to those who have lost it. I believe that what sets me apart from others is my deep connection and partnership that I establish with my clients. I believe that for a full return to health, we must take into account all areas of one’s life.
Depending on the individual, we may focus, with varying degrees, on healing foods and supplements, self-care and exercise, spirituality, emotional well-being, communication and relationships, and career and hobbies. Sometimes new clients come to me in the middle of a health crisis, and I help them to see that their challenges can become an incredible opportunity for healing and transformation.
I am very proud of the work that I do when I see my clients emerge out of the other side of their healing journey. They often have a new-found love of life and of themselves, a new joy and vibrancy, and a new passion for living life to the fullest. This brings me the greatest happiness, and I feel so honored to walk this journey by their side.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me, success in my practice comes when I see my clients growing, healing, thriving, and gaining confidence and momentum with their new lifestyle choices. I look for little wins that we celebrate along the way. For example, depending on the person, they could start to have better digestion, more energy, experience less pain and stiffness, have more mental clarity, reduce cravings, and understand which foods make them thrive. Over time, these little wins snowball into bigger victories. Their symptoms may resolve or are significantly reduced, and the person feels a new sense of gratitude for their health.
