Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Fulfer.
Paige, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Having grown up with my parents as a top producing Las Vegas agents, I always knew I would get into real estate when the timing was right. I watched them work so hard all these years, and I could feel the passion for real estate in my blood.
After graduating from the University of San Diego in 2014, I moved to Los Angeles for a few years and worked as a model, dancer, and actress in the entertainment industry. It was a grind – I had a great time, experienced truly once in a lifetime opportunities, and built an eclectic network, but I was ready to get started with my next step and dive into a long-term career. I then moved back down to San Diego, started studying real estate, and became a full-time realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties in 2019.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My biggest challenge has probably been growing my business as an independent agent. I set out to build my business from the ground up, and for everyone else who has done the same in their respective industry, you know why/how this is a challenge! No paid or shared leads, not even any paid marketing just the business you are able to create on your own. My mindset from the beginning has really been rooted in the long-term philosophy of “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
At the start, in terms of a business model and automated systems, I didn’t have any, so it was more of a matter of originating them, finding what worked best for me, and implementing and practicing them to build the skills. My goal has been to organically create my own database of past, current, and future clients, and there isn’t really a shortcut for that. I’ve worked daily on how to dig deeper with my clients and ask the right questions, as this helps me determine how I can truly add value and help people navigate the waters of real estate that can sometimes appear daunting and overwhelming.
I am reminded every day of how fortunate I am to work with clients who I have had the opportunity to build a strong, authentic connection with, and then an even stronger relationship with as we carry through the transaction and beyond, just like anything in life, the harder the work, the bigger the reward.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I work with a lot of first-time homebuyers, as the bulk of my sphere/database naturally fit within those age demographics. I pride myself on really educating them about the home buying process, so they know what to expect and there are no surprises. Buying your first home is one of life’s biggest milestones, and I strive to make the experience as easy, informative, and stress-free as possible. We have so much fun!
Knowledge is power, and I want my clients to feel empowered. From seller/buyer consults and custom searches to personalized timelines, finding off-market properties, and being available 24/7 for my clients, I genuinely live this chapter with my clients, and I think that is one thing that sets me apart. I’m also a fierce negotiator on behalf of my clients, which is absolutely vital in San Diego’s competitive market. At the same time, I make sure to really connect with the other agents out in the field and to always treat them with respect and transparency. A winning strategy is key, and I am here to set my clients up for success from the very beginning.
Although I am based out of La Jolla, I work throughout all of San Diego County. Some of the areas I have sold homes in include Pacific Beach, Bay Ho, Mission Hills, Del Cerro, Bay Park, La Mesa, Serra Mesa, and Talmadge. In terms of what I am most proud of about my business, I recently ranked in San Diego’s Top 50 Agents, out of 955 BHHSCP agents, for Q1 of 2020. Whether you’re looking to buy, sell, or invest, I’m here to make the process seamless.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success = happy clients. My clients always have and will always come first.
