Hi, I’m Pinkie! I’m a professional photographer and filmmaker traveling across California and beyond to capture life’s most meaningful moments. I’m also the founder of 628STUDIO, a one-stop wedding studio that brings together a team of passionate photographers, videographers, makeup artists, florists, musician, and event planners to create unforgettable celebrations. My work revolves around storytelling through visuals. What sets my work apart is my approach to authentic storytelling and artistic composition. I don’t just document events; I focus on the emotions, the in-between moments, and the unique connections that make each wedding special. My style blends a cinematic touch with natural, candid moments—creating images and films that feel both elegant and deeply personal.
My artistic journey began at a young age. As a child, I loved drawing and painting, even auctioning my artwork for charity in elementary school. In middle school, I explored music, writing and recording my own songs. By high school, I was designing logos and organizing events, blending creativity with practical execution. Entering college, I immersed myself in digital photography and videography, teaching myself everything—from mastering the camera to retouching and editing.
Creating has always felt natural to me, but for me, “beauty” is more than just aesthetics—it’s about purpose. Art is powerful because it connects people, evokes emotions, and transforms the way we see the world. I believe creativity has the power to bring people together, and through my work, I hope to keep making moments that matter.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Pursuing an artistic career—especially in photography and filmmaking—came with uncertainties, financial risks, and a constant need for self-improvement. Unlike traditional career paths, there was no clear roadmap, which meant I had to learn through trial and error.
One of the biggest challenges was establishing credibility and finding clients in the early days. Photography is a competitive field, and standing out required not just technical skill but also strong branding, networking, and business acumen. At first, I had to take on multiple roles—not just as a photographer and filmmaker but also as a marketer, editor, and even a financial planner to keep things running smoothly. Another major hurdle was building a team. Managing a collective of artists with different styles and visions meant learning how to balance creative freedom with business structure. It took time to refine our workflow, create a seamless client experience, and establish a reputation for quality and reliability.
The wedding industry itself is also fast-paced and high-pressure. Clients entrust us with one of the most important days of their lives, and there’s no room for mistakes. From handling unexpected challenges on event days to navigating logistical hurdles, every project requires adaptability and problem-solving.
Despite these challenges, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. Each obstacle has pushed me to grow—not just as an artist, but as an entrepreneur and leader. The struggles have made every success that much more rewarding, and seeing the joy on my clients’ faces reminds me why I chose this path.
