Today we’d like to introduce you to Quentin Miller.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Let’s see- I am a born and raised native San Diegan & grew up in Encinitas. I have always loved all things art/ creativity and developed an early fascination for technology. It was only a matter of time until these worlds would converge which led to a passion for photography/ videography.
The natural evolution from point & shoot camera, to GoPro, and now Drone was inevitable for me. I gifted myself a drone Holiday 2016 and instantly was hooked. One evening while driving home from work the @DroneDiego name/ concept came to me (I already knew I was ready for more with the drone and was full of excitement over the possibilities). As soon as I got home I checked to see if the URL was available- low and behold it was which resulted in me buying it instantly and creating a brand. @DroneDiego has been a perfect platform allowing me to combine my creativity and love for San Diego!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It is still a fairly early road at the moment which is mostly interest/ hobby driven.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
With being a native San Diegan and living all over the county I know it quite well. I also have a close relationship with the ocean (Former Professional Ocean Lifeguard/ Avid Surfer). San Diego has and always will be “home” for me.
With that being said I specialize in all things San Diego but by default with a focus on coastal San Diego as that is where I spend the majority of my free time and what I prefer to capture.
I am definitely known for my beach/ ocean photography and that is what I am most proud of- having spent so much time in and around the water I have a really keen eye for capturing its beauty. Altho I have not fully established this concept yet my background in the ocean sets me apart from others and makes me an excellent choice for Drone Surf photography/ videography.
The great things about drones are all the possibilities. I am becoming more and more involved with promotional, real estate, & weddings, videos as well. Reach out if you have a need as I would love to hear from you.
