Hi Rachael, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Starting as a hobbyist, I have turned photography into my full-time career. It has been a dream of mine for many years as I worked a typical 9-5 job by weekday and then side-hustled photography by night and weekend. I won’t lie, it was exhausting! But I am thankful for every second of it and the lessons I have learned along the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There will always be bumps in the road, but I believe they are a source of education and an opportunity for improvement.
Working around the clock made it really hard to find balance in my life. I would often miss social events, or not have enough time to go to the gym. It definitely took a toll on me but I knew that if I could just survive a little bit longer then the work would pay off. With the business success from that hard work, I was able to achieve my dream and take photography full-time. Now that I am up and running I am able to make time for all aspects of life! It has been an absolute amazing transition.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I capture weddings, elopements & engagement through thoughtfully crafted photography that tells your true story. Working with me looks incredibly candid, natural and nostalgic because I value honest, transparent, and fun loving couples. My goal during every session is to make you look and feel your best while capturing all the little details. Driven by personal connections and storytelling, I treat every client as if they were already a close friend.
