Meet Rachel King

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Rachel King. Rachel was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Amy Scruggs.

Hi Rachel, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers. We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Before I wanted to be a lawyer, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian; that lasted until the afternoon I watched the arm of a vet disappear into a sick cow. Ever since it has been law for me. Being an attorney appealed to me early on when I watched my father demand respect and yield power through the practice of law. Ultimately, I chose law because it provided me with a way to solve problems, help people, and make the best use of my traits.

I joined the Army shortly after graduating high school, a choice that became instrumental in my success. I used the Army tuition assistance, College Fund, and GI Bill to fund my entire education, including law school. I relied on the mental strength, fortitude, endurance, and integrity I learned in the military to help me graduate Magna Cum Laude from law school and open a law firm in 2014.

The mission at my firm is to practice the best law. I focus on strategy. It is my goal to create the best plan and put on the best case, maximizing the resources available in each case: time, money, facts, and law. My clients’ goals are my main focus and my top priority.

Please tell us more about your practice.
I strive to be the best lawyer. I am a strategic litigator, and I practice elder abuse, family law, conservatorships & guardianships, and probate & trust. I work closely with my clients to figure out their goals. I ask every client, “What’s your end game” and then I frame the entire case plan around getting to the end goal. When the goal changes, I change with it. I know that legal issues are stressful and expensive. I focus on taking as much stress off of my clients as possible. I make the most of the money my clients dedicate to their legal matters. I frame their story with the law in a way that shows the court that the only way to rule is for my client.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Amy Scruggs and Amy Scruggs Media, and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Amy Scruggs Media?
Amy is my favorite professional cheerleader. Aside from catapulting my firm marketing to a level that I dreamed of, she is always ready to step up to the plate and work with my entire team to ensure that we are all working toward the same success. Amy is tireless and pushes me and every person at the firm to be their best, present their best, and be irresistible.
