Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel & Lynne Tate. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Tate Collective is comprised of two founders – wife & wife duo Rachel & Lynne Tate. I’m from San Diego (Del Mar specifically), and my wife Lynne is from Long Island, NY. We met working at a tech start-up here in San Diego – she was the Creative Director, and I was a PR & Communications Specialist. From there, we knew we were a dynamite duo, both personally and professionally. Lynne has an impressive 15+ year experience in graphic design, sales, and event production, and I’m an advertising and communications professional. We both have a passion for celebration and curating beautiful environments, so we thought, why not – let’s start our own event design company! We’re both creators with an obsession for fine details and coordination.
Launching Tate Collective was an easy decision for us – we are now based in SoCal, where it all started for us! We combined our passion and skills and became partners in life and partners in business. We started with the foundation and connections we have in the SoCal area and we’re excited that we’re rapidly growing and bringing the life to parties all across San Diego, creating memories for a lifetime.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting any business can be a challenge, but we’ve been fortunate enough to have strong relationships in the event space nationally. Our solid partnership and shared drive for success carries us through any obstacle that comes our way.

As professional partygoers and party throwers, we understand what makes a successful event from both sides. Our attention to detail is superior.
