Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Vorman.
Rachel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was working as a Paralegal for 13 years and was extremely unhappy. I knew the office, and corporate life was no for me. I knew there was something more for me to do. But I didn’t know what that was yet. About three years ago, I started my journey of self-discovery. I started healing from certain things in my past. I started digging deep and looking into each layer of who I was. And man, did I learn a lot. Some things I didn’t want to see. But I knew I needed to in order to fully tap into all of who I was – I knew I needed to if I wanted to let all my walls down and release my fears. I had always been into fitness but along the way, I discovered how passionate I was about it. It became my therapy. My outlet. My release. Fitness saved my life. And I knew I wanted to take that and begin helping people find themselves through fitness and living a healthy lifestyle as well. And that’s how it all began!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Absolutely not! Haha. It’s been scary. I have fallen many times. Failed many times. But isn’t that what makes you stronger? What makes you better? I have learned so many things about myself and my life. I have had many nights of crying, wondering if leaving a safe secure job was worth it? If this is actually what I was meant to be doing? But when I get a text from my clients telling me how I have helped change their lives and for the first time ever, they feel comfortable in their skin, I know I am doing what I am meant to be doing.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a personal trainer, bodybuilding coach, and nutritionist. Being all these things is more than just knowing the business. What I take pride in, is not only do I know about fitness and nutrition, but I know people. I know how to adapt. I know how to read people. And I coach every individual differently. I coach them in a way I know works for them. Because if they don’t trust you, they won’t surrender and give it they’re all. At the end of the day, my main goal is to make a difference, to help people. And I want to give each person I work with my all. Because I want them in return to give me their all, that’s how changes will begin to be made.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Continue building my business. Continue learning. Continue making a difference. Continue bettering myself. Continue inspiring. And continue being inspired by others.
I want to build a bodybuilding team – prepping people for competition. I want to continue training and coaching people about nutrition. Continue helping others learn how to live a healthy life – both physically and mentally.
