Hi Rachel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Rachel I am 25 years old and my passion for lowriders started as a toddler as my great Uncle was in the Car Club Midnight Cruisers. I’ve always loved seeing the lowriders my family owned and my dad owned back in the days. It has always tugged at my heart to capture and spread the message of lowriding and community. Their is No UNITY without commUNITY. My goal is to capture what will one day be Lowriding history in North County San Diego and San Diego and everyone who cruises through! I am proud to be also a part of WOMEN who LOWRIDE! As I own and cruise a lowrider of my own… which was hard to do back in the days but now we’re here with a bang! I cruise with my 3-year-old as well and he loves it and admires all the cars and loves to see them cruising and using their Hydraulics. It has changed a lot, but I still want to document so when one day I and others are 70 we can hopefully look back and rejoice at all these events and cruises fundraisers etc. that have happened. We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?My life has not been easy, but I chose to make the most out of it. Despite the struggles and hardships, I’ve been able to enjoy many things in life that mean the world to me. Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?I specialize in videography of low-riding events and cars. I’ve also done a few short documentaries on a few people out here in the scene, to be able to give them a platform and share their story, passion, and anything they’d like. I have a big saying: support those who support you! And since I started, I’ve gotten so much support in the scene and community and can’t wait to see what the future holds I am proud of being a positive influence and trend setter in the San Diego Scene. what sets me apart from others is My content and IDEAS are ALL original. Most of my brainstorming comes from cruising and being out in the scene. Also, that I support everyone no matter what and don’t try to fit in. I’m known for Representing San Diego Lowriders as I have A 1997 Lincoln Towncar With an SD logo on the Sides to show where I am born and raised. Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?I see myself doing big things but mostly just staying true to myself and doing this for the people. My Raza and family. I won’t say too much, but just make sure to stay tuned on my journey because I don’t plan to ever stop!
