Today we’d like to introduce you to Rahim Siddiq.
Rahim, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a photographer, my dream was to photograph intimate parts of peoples life with the most artistic and creative style as possible. With more than four years of wedding photography experience, I decided to collaborate with a collective of creative individuals dedicated in providing an artistic approach of wedding photojournalism in the Muslim community. Most south-Asian and Muslim weddings tend to have a very similar look all around. Our team at Visual Artistry comes together to provide that candid, raw and loving memory that everyone deserves to have on their wedding day. We consider ourselves to be artists who just so happen to know a thing or two about a camera.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have been challenges all around with starting up our production company. First was managing the demand. Before launching our company, we had many word-of-mouth inquires and bookings that we needed to expand fast in order to meet the demand. Some days we were double booked and required multiple lead shooters to manage the team. All-in-all, our team here at Visual Artistry Co is dedicated in providing the necessary work to meet the quality we promise. Every shooter at Visual Artistry is an artist capturing your day perfectly.
Please tell us about Visual Artistry Collective.
As a wedding film and photo production company, we work as a team to offer professional services that tell your love story. We consider ourselves to be artists who just so happen to prefer real love stories to fictitious ones. Our medium is photography and videography. By infusing our creativity and artistic originality into our work, we provide our clients with gorgeous images and videos they’ll cherish forever. Instead of using a cut and paste formula for every client, we focus on the details of our brides and grooms and peel back the layer of their love story. Our niche community is for the Muslim and South-Asian community but welcome in providing services to all communities out there! We respect all cultures/traditions and welcome with open arms, so if there are cultural boundaries or norms, we will do our work to provide the highest regard and uphold those boundaries throughout your special days.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If we had to start over, I would have done this a lot earlier. If only I had trusted our creative and artistry earlier, we would have expanded and grown a lot more. Everything happens for a reason, and this was a lesson for us to learn. Never doubt yourself. Trust in the process and know your worth.
