My wife has been making this Salsa Verde for quite some time. My family and friends would come over and rant about how great it was. I started buying salsa from other stores to taste. The process, thickness, and texture made me realize that my wife’s salsa was completely different and better. I took it to my job at Wawanesa and brought it to a pot luck. People killed it within minutes. I asked people if they would buy it, they all said YES!!! Since then, I’ve been selling it. We’ve sold over 500 of them just word by mouth. The goal is to provide SD with the best green salsa ever. We named it after our daughter’s nickname. We want people to understand that it’s just more than Chips and Salsa. It goes well on every type of food. It enhances your favorites foods that you love. If there is a special plate that you love making, we want to be that salsa that enhances your favorite dish. Food brings people together. It’s about family and bringing people together.
That’s something that we have pride in. our goals are to be in every market. Till then, we’ll be spreading word through mouth.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It constantly sells, the struggle is we want it in stores. We need a permit and still need a logo and better labeling. But within time, that will come.

It’s a Salsa Verde. The way its made sets us apart. The way we approach people. If we look at every store, you can almost tell how watered down salsa is. I feel no one is taking the time to make it the right way. My wife puts a lot of love into each batch and it has a consistent taste!!
What were you like growing up?
My wife and I are very similar. Ive been a peoples person all my life. Always been into sales, getting to know people and always love hearing people out. Come from a huge family. Very sensitive to the needy, and outspoken when need to be. Never shy when presenting at school projects or at my job when I have to do a presentation. People make the world go round in my opinion, and I have found it extremely interesting getting to know people and where they come from.
