Today we’d like to introduce you to RastaFanny Photography.
Hello RastaFanny Photography, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My love for photography started when I was very young, my mother took us to many concerts in my city. my sister was 15 years old at the time and started working at a local radio station. It was when our passion went further and we began to meet many artists, we went to the airports to wait for them and there I discovered the film camera, I took photos of my sister with the artists, at that time there were no selfies, so they had to take your photo and That’s how I started my taste for taking pictures of everything that was around me. one Christmas my dad gave me my first digital camera I remember it was a polaroid I went crazy with that camera.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been an easy road, you have to fight and fight to achieve the dreams you have in mind, but lately, I take it a bit relaxed, now I stop and think more about the photo that I want to capture.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I started in 2007 doing skateboarding photography, in 2008 I began to photographically document the music scene of the Reggae genre in Tijuana, San Diego, Los Angeles, and its surroundings. I have been taking concert photography for 15 years, it is my passion since I was a child. I think what sets me apart from others is that I try to capture the emotions of the artist on stage.
We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Maybe they don’t know the artistic side, you could say. I love street photography and another passion is skateboarding photography. I really enjoy it. Maybe many friends didn’t know that about me.
