Today we’d like to introduce you to Reshia Guarnotta.
Reshia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started selling real estate in 2004 when I was 19 years old. I hadn’t always wanted to be a REALTOR. But when my college professor told me that I would “make a good REALTOR” I accepted an internship at 18 and never looked back. I whole heartedly believe in this industry because it is more than just a smart investment, it’s where people create and live their lives. It’s a true honor to be a part of many of my client’s stories.
I am known to follow opportunity and through my sixteen year career in Real Estate, I was a transaction coordinator, I ran a team, I negotiated short sales, I was a Sales Manager for a famous Investment company, I created a real estate brand and I managed a large office for a major franchise.
I would call myself well rounded in this business. I consume books and podcasts all revolved around marketing, branding and communication. I have learned a lot, I have made mistakes and I’ve had to adjust to many different markets. Every time I felt the need to grow in an area, I would research the topic, find answers and apply it to my business.
Now I co-produce and direct my business podcast that revolves around educating REALTORS and other entrepreneurs to rise to the top of their field. I love to talk about marketing and branding and I love to train other business people. So when I was approached by my producer to start a business podcast, I was thrilled. The Boss Life Uncorked is a Podcast Show where I invite some of the coolest bosses I know to share what makes their business a success. All while sipping fine wine.
My biggest dream right now is to turn the Boss Life Uncorked podcast into a top resource for other entrepreneurs looking to create the business and life they want.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Entrepreneurship has many unspoken challenges. It can feel very isolating. Sometimes, I feel like I have to have all the answers, or everything falls on my shoulders. The best thing I’ve done for my business is given myself and other grace and surround myself with others that I look up to.
My biggest challenge is learning when to shut off work. I’m a bit of a workaholic because I love it so much! Even when I am on vacation, I have to jot down ideas or design something. But I can hit burn out pretty fast if I am not careful.
Please tell us bout your business.
1. Boss Life Uncorked Podcast Show is a video podcast on iTunes, Spotify, google play, iheart radio and youtube. We film in a studio and on location at different wineries and restaurants. I love being on camera. I have so much fun with it. On the show, I open a nice bottle of wine and enjoy a couple of glasses with other bosses I look up to as we talk about some relevant business trends. I get them to share what makes their business thrive, what marketing they are embracing and what other tips they can give to viewers that others wouldn’t otherwise know. We also talk about the wine we are tasting and I give some good tips on finding great wine. The goal of Boss Life Uncorked to educate and provide value. I love coaching REALTORS and helping them create the business they have always wanted.
2. I am also a REALTOR at Compass. I know all the ins and outs of real estate and I also know marketing. I use my passion for branding and marketing to showcase my listings and make them stand out over the competition. Throughout my 16 year career, I have learned how to pick out what makes a home special. I have sold over 300 homes and I know a solid investment when I see one. I believe in superb communication, and over explaining so that my clients feel comfortable with the next step. I am detail oriented and a little OCD when it comes to the work I do. I am known for the lifestyle videos I do at my listings where I showcase everything that makes the home unique and what it would be like to live in that home and in that neighborhood.
I selected Compass because I love their brand and their tools. They are a technology savvy brokerage that gives me the support I need to provide the best service and marketing to my client.
One accomplishment I am most proud of is when I opened my real estate brokerage. I created the brand and designed the office. This taught me a lot about branding, the customer experience, how to train agents, and how to create compelling marketing pieces.
My newest accomplishment I am most proud of is my podcast show. It is challenging to be on video weekly, to come up with content and to try to find topics that the public wants to learn about.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am creating courses to train agents worldwide. This will include online course, public speaking engagements, one on one coaching and networking events.
