Rey Evangelista

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up I was always into fixing things, learning how to build things, how to install things. I knew right away I wanted to work with my hands. I was known for I be a handyman. After graduating high school I started working at belmont park, in mission beach where my handyman career officially started. As years went by I gained the knowledge and confidence to jump over to the construction side of the business. I fell in love with the Blue Collar lifestyle. People kept asking when will I start my own business? I would always dodge it but deep down I knew it was the path I wanted to go down. I knew I wanted to become my own boss one day. 2023 Came a long and that’s when I decided to start my own business, Rey The Contractor also known as R.T.C.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely a journey ! I’ve learned so much about myself such as strengths and weaknesses ! But I this journey is what I prayed for when I was younger, my prayers have been answered and I love every moment of it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in handyman and construction ! From carpentry to painting, even dry walling. I’m known for fixing anything and to building you anything you want ! You dream it, we can build it ! What sets me apart from every one else is that I’ve learned to do almost everything ! I can build you a house from ground up to the final touch

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I’m also a personal trainer ! For the last 4 years I’ve been a trainer/coach to many in the Linda vista community
