Today we’d like to introduce you to Rico Jones.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’ve been writing music for over 9 years. I never had the energy or focus to actually start recording until October 2016. Once I started recording music, I fell back in love with the process.
Please tell us about your art.
I’m a rap artist and recording engineer. I create and record all of my songs from scratch. When I create any song, it is based off the emotion that I’m feeling at that time. I want people to feel the emotions and rawness from every song they hear.
We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
The big part about being an artist is connecting with yourself. Gain the confidence in whatever it is that you do, this pertains to everything in life. Once you are confident and have an understanding of what actually makes your music unique, then you can feel comfortable about connecting with other artist. You can connect with other artists and other individuals through your social media, concerts, shows and just being out in general.
