Today we’d like to introduce you to Roosevelt Williams III.
Roosevelt, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My peers and established YoungBlack&’NBusiness In October 2016 when we have seen a void & disconnect in the San Diego minority business community. At that time there was numerous business and organizations having events on the same day, we even witnessed non-profits and business organizations doing the same work and offering the same services however the two businesses didn’t know of each other and they were reinventing the wheel.
We noticed that our business community was not out-numbered but out organized. Our mission statement is “OUR Network is OUR Networth.”
Young Black & ’N Business (YBNB) is an organization dedicated to serving emerging black entrepreneurs and minority-owned businesses in Southern California. Through quarterly mixers and a weekly radio show, YBNB creates positive synergy for individuals to come together and make POWER moves in a POWER House environment.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a smooth road thus far. Everything & everyone is EXCITED about the visible waves that are organized has created in a short amount of time. We believe that’s it’s POWER in people and that everyone is an asset. We get a massive support from the older & younger generations because of our positive example of a cohesive network.
However, anything without a challenge is not worth doing and we are up to the challenge of achieving financial freedom and having environmental justice for all.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the YoungBlack&’NBusiness™ story. Tell us more about the business.
