Meet Sandra Gonzalez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Gonzalez.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sandra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After experiencing difficult challenges as a Marine, I realized that adversity is my advantage and it’s up to me to become a Warrior not a Worrier in life and business. After ending up in the emergency room due to an anxiety attack, I realized that I have the power to change my mindset around difficult challenges. I have the power to generate solutions not stressors to my problems.

That day in the emergency room, I made a conscious decision to focus on the cure not the disease, so I asked God to help through this setback. In return for his guidance, I would serve him and humanity to the best of my ability. I started by changing my habits. I sculpted my physique and was able to lose 25 lbs. I gained my self-confidence and realized that a Warrior’s mindset is what is required to become resilient and successful in life.

After dealing with betrayal and divorce, I learned that I am responsible for filling up my love tank. I am responsible for where my life is going and the meaning I extract from life. Because I was able to endure, persist and never give up on myself I have strengthened my self-confidence and have reinforced my character along the way.

This ability to understand who I am, what I stand for, and what my purpose is in life has given me clarity to help others develop this healthy state of mind. As a coach and speaker, I empower ambitious women and men to become warriors by building their self-confidence, courage, and clarity so they can lead with conviction. This mental quality enables them to establish boundaries, start a business, and communicate with assertiveness. It’s a mental quality that gives them peace of mind. I help ambitious entrepreneurs positively influence themselves and their sphere of influence.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been smooth at all. I am 5 ft 2 inches tall, a woman, and Latina who was able to thrive in a male-dominated organization. I’ve had to work harder than my male counterparts just to get recognition, creditability and respect.

I’ve endured health setbacks that almost derailed me and led me to depression. I learned to raise a family and have a professional career so balance can be achieved. I understood the importance of self-worth and autonomy as I ended my marriage of 15 years. I moved forward in developing my brand and business despite personal and financial challenges.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a Warrior Coach who helps people with an insatiable appetite for growth to develop confidence and courage despite uncertainty. My military experience of 20 years is infused into my coaching methodology so I encourage people to face their fears. As a coach and speaker, I share a secret strategy that no other coach is teaching. As a prior drill instructor, I understand first hand that willpower, motivation, and discipline are not enough. You need something else, and this is a key element is developed through coaching.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Inspirational talks, seminars and workshops at an international level. My goal is to write my book and help people develop a warrior’s mindset so they can listen to what CALLS at them, not what CLAWS at them.
