Hi Sarah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
One day, while carrying a heavy load to her favorite spot on the sand, Sarah realized how strenuous it was to transport all the necessary equipment to the beach. It struck her: What if there was a company that could take care of all the setup and provide a luxury experience at the beach? That moment of inspiration led to the creation of The Cabana Beach Club.

Sarah, a well-respected San Diego real estate agent, saw firsthand that many of her clients, friends, and family loved going to the beach but were often deterred by the hassle and effort required to get there. She recognized that her idea could make it easier and more convenient for people to enjoy the beach. The Cabana Beach Club was created to offer a hassle-free, luxurious beach experience, allowing clients to simply show up and relax.

Starting from scratch, Sarah leveraged her extensive network and understanding of customer service from her real estate background. She carefully designed the services to cater to all needs – from setting up cabanas and providing beach essentials to offering personalized touches that make each visit special. Her goal was to ensure that everyone could have a stress-free day at the beach, experiencing luxury and comfort without lifting a finger.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a fairly smooth journey, but certainly not without its challenges and learning experiences. One of the key areas we’ve had to focus on is developing efficient systems to manage bookings and ensure timely setups. Balancing multiple reservations and coordinating with our team to provide a seamless experience required a lot of fine-tuning.

Another significant aspect has been customer service. Understanding and anticipating the needs of our clients to deliver exceptional service has been a continual learning process. Each client is unique, and ensuring that we meet and exceed their expectations has involved refining our communication and service delivery methods.

Through these challenges, we’ve grown stronger and more adept at providing a hassle-free, luxurious beach experience. The lessons learned along the way have been invaluable in shaping The Cabana Beach Club into what it is today.

Risk-taking is an integral part of any entrepreneurial journey. Personally, I view risk as an opportunity for growth and innovation. Without stepping out of your comfort zone and taking calculated risks, it’s difficult to achieve significant success or make a meaningful impact.

One of the major risks I took was launching The Cabana Beach Club. Transitioning from a well-established career in real estate to starting a completely new venture was daunting. There were numerous uncertainties—whether there would be enough demand for such a service, how to effectively manage operations, and how to ensure top-notch customer service. The financial investment required to purchase quality equipment and establish a brand was substantial, and there was always the possibility that the business might not take off as expected.

However, I believed in the concept and the value it could bring to people’s lives. I saw the potential for creating a unique, hassle-free beach experience that many would appreciate. The risk paid off as we quickly gained traction and positive feedback from our clients. Their satisfaction and the growth of the business validated the decision to take that initial leap.

In my perspective, taking risks is essential for progress. It’s about carefully evaluating the potential downsides and benefits, and then having the courage to move forward despite the uncertainties. Each risk taken is a learning experience, whether it results in success or not. It pushes you to innovate, adapt, and ultimately grow stronger as a business and an individual.

So, while I don’t consider myself a reckless risk-taker, I do embrace calculated risks that align with my vision and goals. They have been instrumental in shaping The Cabana Beach Club into the thriving business it is today.
