Meet Seymore Wavenchy

My father, a designer himself instilled in me a the love for fashion and creativity from a young age. Drawings from my father’s legacy inspired me to form Wavenchy when I got older and entered the industry; fast forward today Wavenchy & DaygoWorld my media company, Are my top pillars showcasing San Diego and representing the culture as one of the cities key holders.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This is a marathon not a race like the late Nipsey Hussle would say. So I’m living for a consistent pace. Starting from scratch and Launching Wavenchy from the ground up was a significant challenge, requiring meticulous planning and execution. The fashion industry is highly competitive and dynamic, requiring constant adaptation to trends and market demands.

I wanted to establish Wavenchy as a recognizable and respected brand in the fashion world

Finding the right balance between creative expression and commercial viability posed a continuous challenge, ensuring that Wavenchy’s designs resonated with the audience while remaining profitable. Like any entrepreneurial journey, there were setbacks and obstacles along the way, from production delays to economic downturns, but each challenge was an opportunity to learn and grow. Around covid is when I really had to lock in and take it to the next level & it’s showing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work as a professional driver for a hospitality company currently learning how to manage and account for my clients correlates with running my companies. I’m able to work both hustles at the same time, so my energy is on ten. I can meet the right person or have the right conversations, and my life can go up. Building bonds is value to me.
