Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sheeba Legend. Sheeba was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Candace Hoegemeier.
Sheeba, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
My entire life, I have searched for purpose. I completed a few classes for a nursing program but realized early on that wasn’t the field I belonged in. After learning about the Esthetician program, I fell in love with all services an Esthetician can perform. One the caught my twinkly, little brown eye was lashes! After I completed eyelash extension training, I moved to Los Angeles where I was blessed to have the opportunity of working for a couple delightful salons. When the pandemic struck, it resulted in the closure of one of the main salon I was working at. Thankfully, I received government aid to help me get by. I am also thankful for quarantine as it helped me self-evaluate my life and face long daunting fear. I started my transition as a LOUD & PROUD transgender woman! I am no longer feeling like a lie and living my full truth. Being born a Muslim middle eastern, it was difficult coming out but working again renewed my spirit.
Please talk to us about your creative work and career. What should we know?
Creativity is an important and immense part of my life. Being an eyelash extensions artist has allowed me to own a space of freedom to create. I love trying new looks and learning new techniques, it never stops with lashes. My clients and I have a consultation before the service where we discuss what look we are trying to achieve. They typically either show me a photo or verbally describe to me the look they have in mind. With a little work of my imagination, I slay the client’s lashes to their liking. I love making my clients beautiful and happy when they open their eyes but I always tell them, “you were beautiful before you got lash extensions, they only intensified that beauty!”

I always feel celebrated by my clients and by wonderful salon owner Candace! I am so glad to have found Tenderoni Lashes! Performing eyelash extension services has helped me find my purpose in life and henceforth will always have abundant love for lashing. I plan on pursuing bigger and better things by being multifaceted and expanding my business. With all being said I am filled with gratitude to be in the place I am currently in.
