Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sheila Harris. Sheila was introduced to us by one of the most helpful folks we know, Tracie Rosales.
Hi Sheila, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Being a mom of four, #3 and 4 being twins, our household was busy! I have always felt like the dinner time around the table was the strength of a family and growing great children. The dinner time became more and more of a challenge, with sports, homework, life with 4 kids, and trying to figure out “what to make for dinner?!” Someone introduced me to Dream Dinners, a frozen meal prep kit that I could assemble, taking home enough meals for a month. Because I didn’t have to do any of the prepping, my dinner was done in less than 30 minutes with maybe 1-2 pans for dishes. I LOVED this concept and help. It brought us back around the table, opportunity for my kids to cook, and flavors my whole family enjoyed! The original owner decided to move away and put the store up for sale. I jumped on the opportunity and a few months later I was the happy owner of my own business, and that was 15 years ago. About 2 years ago I added another store to my original one in Poway, and added San Marcos. I am thankful to have the impact for so long, with so many families, helping to support that quality time around the table and giving the cook of the family a break from answering the daily question and figuring out “what’s for dinner?”!
Please tell us more about your brand, Dream Dinners – San Marcos & Poway
We have 20 different recipe kits that change every month, and you choose what ones are best for your family. We do ALL the prep, so you have no chopping and maybe 2 pans that you use, so clean up is easy! We assemble them for you, or you can come in and prep (in non-COVID times) with special requests accommodated like cheese on the side, or ground turkey in place of ground beef etc, I am proud to be in a company that has been around for 16 years and has valued the families as we do! We believe in helping those in our community with the goal of encouraging that quality time around the “table” (even if the “table” is at the soccer field) to be easy, with less stress, less grocery shopping and giving you more quality time as well as saving money!! Having a healthy, easy and great tasting dinner is one thing on my list that I can check off, easy is good these days!
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Tracie Rosales and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Tracie.
The thing I love about working with Tracie, is that she is honest and put’s 110% into whatever she is doing! I love her passion and desire to empower women, not just how they look on the outside, but how they are processing on the inside. She has overcome many challenges, and is an amazing mom raising a great son, which gives depth to everything she does. I admire her and her passion!
