Today we’d like to introduce you to Cory Anderson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Cory. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I previously worked as a Leisure Sales Manager for American Golf Corporation and learned a tremendous amount about the golf industry. Many components of that job proved to be very valuable for my partner and I starting up our own golf wholesale company a few years later.
At the inception of Showtime Golf, we partnered with over 80 courses all throughout the southwest and began booking both golf tee times, corporate golf events, hotel packages, and much more within the first few years of our newly founded company.
Showtime Golf has now been running strong for nearly 16 years and has provided top notch golf coordination services to companies such as Pepsi, Papa Johns, Google, The New York Giants, and Heineken just to name a few! We strive to be the best in our industry and value all of our golf course and client relationships.
Has it been a smooth road?
Our company had smooth sailing and experienced 22% annual growth for the first 7 years. Our largest struggles came during the global recession that took place in 2008 when fewer companies were booking golf events. Thankfully we were able to overcome that rough patch and get back to doing what we do best…. book golf for your valued clientele!
We are now continuing to move the needle in the right direction once again and are very proud to say we grew our business 17% from 2016 to 2017.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Showtime Golf story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in mid-range to high end golf course event planning. We are strategically partnered with public, semi private and private country clubs to ensure a fantastic choice of golf course options for our customers.
We believe that our attention to detail, and high level of service help us to stand out from the competition.
Showtime Golf is proud to have been in business for such an extended period of time and having such a long list of repeat clients that come back to use our services year after year.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Our industry will continue to grow its online presence as the number of courses remain status quo. Various creative marketing and sales efforts along with different types of golf course partnerships and yield management rate structures will continue to be utilized.
